Hush Little Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. don’t say a word; Adrianne Palicki will being playing Mockingbird

Adrianne Palicki (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) will finally play a comic book character on television.  The almost Wonder Woman has been cast as Barbara “Bobbi”Morse a/k/a Mockingbird for an episode of  Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Besides Wonder Woman, Palicki also appeared in the Aquaman pilot shot for the WB a few years back. This will be her first comic book inspired performance to actually make it to the screen.

The character has a lot of history with the Avengers, having briefly been married to  Hawkeye, and was a founding member of offshoot group The West Coast Avengers. Morse will be appearing in the 5th episode in the upcoming second season this fall, with the possibility of returning for future episodes.   It is not clear yet if Morse will be a ally for Agent Coulson and his team.

The former Friday Night Lights star is only the latest in a long list of high profile guest stars on the Marvel serial.  Palicki joins Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks, Dune) who will be playing Skye’s father and Lucy Lawless as  S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Isabelle Hartly.   While the possibility of Mockingbird’s return exists, it won’t be too often, as Palicki will be returning to her NBC sit-com About a Boy this fall.
