Up and ATOM, Brandon Routh Suits Up For Action.

It’s been a long time coming, but billionaire industrialist Ray Palmer trade his power ties for a powersuit, when he dons his A.T.O.M. suit in the February 25th episode of Arrow,

Routh is no stranger to super-suits of course.  Back in 2006 he wore the most famous one (red briefs and all) when he played the Man of Steel in Superman Returns.  But now we get a look at him in his sporting a different set of red and blues.

We know this suit is high tech, but it isn’t quite clear if this suit will actually allow Ray Palmer shrink down to Felicity Smoak, Ray Palmer on ATOMsub-atomic size, or if will just enhance his natural abilities a la Iron Man.  After all it’s A.T.O.M.  not the Atom.  That backronym stands for Advanced Technology Operating Mechanism, which Palmer rechristened the project from it’s Queen Consolidated project name, O.M.A.C.  If the suit doesn’t shrink Palmer, is he still the Atom?

Arrow won’t be the only place we’ll be seeing Palmer in his shiny new power suit,  both he and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) will be heading down to Central City where he will be teaming up with the Scarlet Speedster himself, the Flash.    Flash star Grant Gustin shared this peek from an upcoming episode.

This is today. But you’ll have to wait a while… #TheFlash #Atom
