The Last Jedi Teaser Trailer Arrives

Geeksville has been away for a while (more on that later) But with the return of our favorite Jedi, I couldn’t stay away, and had to share the teaser trailer, which was first screened at the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, FL this weekend. Star Wars fans were treated to the first look of Rey‘s training, with Luke Skywalker (hopefully she won’t have to run a spartan race while giving her teacher a piggy back ride, like her master did.)  As she learns about Force, and may All off this happens as the Resistance faces an onslaught from Snoke’s First Order … Continue reading

They’re Coming Back! – Independence Day: Resurgance

We knew this day was coming.   For 20 years. They’ve come back. Independence Day was a huge hit, it was classic 1950s B-movie alien invasion story, with state of the art special effects, and a talented cast, including a Fresh Prince, on his way to becoming one of the biggest stars in the world. Star Trekkin’ in to a New Series (but not where you think)

This morning news broke out via Deadline that CBS was about to announce a new Star Trek TV series. Fans didn’t have to wait long, as the Tiffany Network just announced this afternoon  the first details about the developing series. It will move to CBS All Access, the … Continue reading

David Tennant is returning as the Tenth Doctor alongside Catherine Tate as his companion Donna Noble in three Doctor Who Audio Dramas! Rumored to be in the works for a while now, Big Finish made the official announcement this morning, fittingly, at 10 o’clock. ‘I still remember the sense of joy I had when I heard that David had been asked to play the Doctor,’ says Big Finish executive producer Jason Haigh-Ellery. ‘We were all so pleased for him — as we knew how much Doctor Who meant to him. And now David comes full circle, back doing Doctor Who … Continue reading

Star Wars The Force Awakens Trailer drops

No point writing much here, you’re not reading it.  You just want to see the 2+ minutes of new Star Wars goodness.  So here it is.  So much to be excited about, but almost 2 months to wait!  But if you’re the kind of person who knows they have to see it first, you’re in luck. Ticket sales for the sequel also went live today, just after the spot aired during tonight’s  Giants/Eagles game on ESPN  (a nice bit of corporate synergy from the Mouse House).  What do you think?   Is the Force strong with this one?
