Dave McKean and Dark Horse Comic Partner on Black Dog

Dark Horse Comics  and Dave McKean are partnering on a new graphic novel – Black Dog: The Dreams of Paul Nash, based on the life of surrealist painter Paul Nash. McKean’s last outing with Dark Horse, Pictures that Tick: Volume I and II, showcased the artists bold storytelling technique, mingling prose and art in a series of vignettes that worked independently. Black Dog seems to be a fully realized story from start to finish. Supergirl – First Look

The first pictures of Melissa Benoist (Glee) in her costume for the Supergirl pilot being made for CBS are out, and here’s the place to see them.  The pilot, written by executive producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, Flash) and Amy Adler (Chuck, No Ordinary Family) began shooting this week. Dark Horse Star Wars Collections Coming From Marvel

  Disney’s acquisition of Star Wars rang the bell on Dark Horse’s 20+ years of producing comics set a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Beginning in 2015, the license will revert back to Marvel, who produced Star Wars comics from 1977 until 1985. Today news comes from Marvel, that those Dark Horse comics will be represented in their oversized Epic Collection format.
