Patrick Stewart returns to TV


Star Trek: The Next Generation, and  X-Men star Patrick Stewart will star in and co-produce Blunt Talk, a half-hour scripted comedy for STARZ. The cable network announced that they’d given the show –a two-season, 20-episode order. The series will be produced by Seth MacFarlane and Jonathan Ames.   Ames created the series and will serve as showrunner, while MacFarlane will serve as executive producer through his Fuzzy Door Productions company.   “Blunt Talk” will be produced by Media Rights Capital It will center on Walter Blunt (Stewart), a British import intent on conquering the world of American cable news. This week saw the return of two big genre TV series, and set up a showdown for viewers on the night fewer people watch TV on than any other. And I don’t really watch either one of them.  So I don’t really care. That’s right, I am not a regular viewer of either FRINGE or SUPERNATURAL. I am a bad geek.
