Geek Out With “Spartacus” On Netflix

It’s always been a mystery to me why, in an era of increasing shock value and excessive explicit material on television, the Starz series Spartacus was so overlooked by mainstream audiences. Sure, it never had the built-in audience of Game Of Thrones (which of course is based on a book series) or the easy accessibility of House Of Cards (a Netflix original), but Spartacus had many of the same attributes that have kept shows like these so popular for years now. There was reckless ambition, sudden death, sex appeal and nonstop political scheming. In many respects, it was the perfect … Continue reading

Star Trekkin’ in to a New Series (but not where you think)

This morning news broke out via Deadline that CBS was about to announce a new Star Trek TV series. Fans didn’t have to wait long, as the Tiffany Network just announced this afternoon  the first details about the developing series. Community’s Best Tags

Dan Harmon’s sit-com Community makes it’s debut on Yahoo Screen on Tuesday 3/17, but it ran for 5 seasons on NBC as part of it’s Thursday night line up.   Almost every episode would end with credit tag.  Sometimes they would tie into the episode, other times they were just inspired insanity. They were practically mini episodes that delivered more laughs than full episodes of other so called sit-coms.  They also tended to feature the bromance between Troy Barnes (Donald Glover) and Abed Nadir (Danny Pudi) In honor of the show’s sixth season premiere, we look back at our favorite tags. … Continue reading

Meet the Kingpin in Netflix’s New Trailer for Daredevil

The line between good and evil may be a lot shorter than you realize. The latest trailer for Marvel’s Daredevil, premiering next month on Netflix juxtaposes the horned hero with his nemesis, Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, play by Vincent D’Onofrio, showing the two adversaries are as different as Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) would like to believe. The trailer gives us the first real look at D’Onofrio’s take on Fisk, and how he sees himself. Marvel’s Daredevil debuts April 10, on Netflix.
