(If you search in Google for Marvels’ 2015 Star Wars, you will get many reviews of the new Star Wars comics.  Most of theses reviews are for the first issue or other individual floppies; this review is of the first six issues of the new Marvel Star Wars series.) Cosplay Is Not Killing Comics

  As someone who has done comics retail for 6 years, I feel confident speaking on the subject of cosplay and comic conventions, and the recent trend of industry professionals and retailers complaining about cosplayers. Let these people dress up as the characters. A good number of them are fans of the character they dress up as, but some are ignorant, and I say let them. Can DC Comics Be Saved?

Lately it seems that every week there is a story somewhere on the web about DC Comics, and how in one way or another they are screwing up.   It’s so bad that there is website dedicated to the question, “Has DC Comics done something stupid today?”  Being a life long DC fan, it has been upsetting, and frustrating.  I want them to be good. DC reboot – What does it mean?

DC officially announced today that they are going to be re-launching their entire superhero comic line this fall with 52 new number 1’s, beginning with a new Justice League #1 on August 31, with the rest of their books coming out in September 2011. Of course this will be the 5th reboot DC has done in the last 30 years, (not to mention “Hypertime”) and the 3rd reboot of the DCU since 2005,(Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis coming before this one.)  but the first to wipe the slate completely clean, to a point early in the career of Superman and the … Continue reading
