Action Comics #1 Sells for $3.2 Million Dollars at Auction

  A copy of Action Comics #1, rated at an astounding 9.0 by CGC,set a record today.  It sold for  just over $3.2 at auction on eBay to an unnamed bidder.     The comic, which introduced Superman to the world, is widely considered the Holy Grail of comic collecting, with only a handful of the 200,000 or so copies that were originally produced in 1938.  Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and sold the character to the company that would become DC Comics for $130.  (But that’s a different story) Other copies of Action Comics #1 … Continue reading
