Dark Horse Star Wars Collections Coming From Marvel

  Disney’s acquisition of Star Wars rang the bell on Dark Horse’s 20+ years of producing comics set a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Beginning in 2015, the license will revert back to Marvel, who produced Star Wars comics from 1977 until 1985. Today news comes from Marvel, that those Dark Horse comics will be represented in their oversized Epic Collection format. Marvel’s Daredevil Will Have a Darker Tone Than Movies

  Like it did with their cinematic properties, Marvel, in partnership with Netflix , is developing original content featuring some of their characters for the streaming service.  The first series, Daredevil, starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and his crime fighting alter ego is well into production, with series featuring Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist to follow. Hush Little Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. don’t say a word; Adrianne Palicki will being playing Mockingbird

  Adrianne Palicki (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) will finally play a comic book character on television.  The almost Wonder Woman has been cast as Barbara “Bobbi”Morse a/k/a Mockingbird for an episode of  Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Besides Wonder Woman, Palicki also appeared in the Aquaman pilot shot for the WB a few years back. This will be her first comic book inspired performance to actually make it to the screen. Monday Morning Geek Box Office Report – Turtles Raise Shell; Guardians Hang Tough

  Those heroes on a half shell,  the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ruled the box office this weekend taking in an estimated $65.0 million.  The franchise reboot caused many fans some amount of consternation when it was announced.  Early reports had director Michael Bay changing significant portions of the Turtles origin, include rumors that the turtles would be aliens, not mutants, and some disapproval of the casting of Megan Fox as intrepid reporter April O’Neil.     The Ninja Turtles opened strong for an August release, and slightly ahead of predictions.  A sequel announcement took place almost immediately.  I am … Continue reading
