Why FOX Adapting Lucifer Is the Worst Idea

Fox wants to turn Lucifer into a police procedural, where the reluctant King of Hell will help the LAPD solve crimes. Is this for an audience of comic-loving, cop procedural television fans? Police procedurals have become a cliché television trope. They are popular, but many border on banality.  The comic series covers everything from existentialism to finding your true face to finally breaking free of the bonds of God’s plan. Could Anyone Else Play Indiana Jones?

There is a rumor going around that Disney is about to announce a date on their schedule for a fifth Indiana Jones flick. With Hollywood loathed to stray too far from tried and true franchises, another film featuring everyone’s favorite archeologist is inevitable.  Harrison Ford‘s schedule has him busy a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away (after his leg heals, that is) but could the 72-year-old actor be up to don the fedora and whip one more time?   “In a New York minute” is what the aging action star told British talk show host Graham … Continue reading

I want to read great stories featuring some of my favorite characters.  But for some reason DC doesn’t want me (and thousands of other comic fans) to be happy. My old friend, and creator if the … Continue reading
