Make room in your class schedule for a little time travel.  Aquinas College, in Stockport, Greater Manchester, UK is offering a class this spring in our favorite Time Lord, Doctor Who. Part of the school’s Adult Education program, the class will run 11 weeks, meeting once a week.  The class will cover all 51 years of the program’s illustrious history, from the it’s conception by Sydney Newman and Verity Lambert right up though the present day series, starring Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, and produced by Steven Moffat. IDW to produce 50th Anniversary Doctor Who Maxi-Series

IDW has produced some pretty cool Doctor Who comics, not to mention the Doctor Who/Star Trek the Next Generation crossover they are currently putting out (Issue 6 (of 8) will be out this week!), and have recently relaunched the ongoing title with Andy Diggle writing and art by Mark Buckingham. Now they are joining in to the Doctor’s 50th Anniversary (the program debuted on the BBC on November 23, 1963) with a new 12 issue Maxi-series called Doctor Who: Prisoners of Time. Audio Review: Doctor Who – Big Finish titles for June 2012

June is the last month of we will have three full cast Doctor Who audios from Big Finish for a bit, as the first season of the 4th Doctor adventures come to an end, and the second season (alongside Mary Tamm, as Romana) doesn’t start until January 2013. Sadly it will be the last time Mary Tamm will appear in a Big Finish production, as the lovely actress passed away this week. So things have been unseasonably busy here in Geeksville, so please forgive the lack of updates. Let’s get right to it with Big Finish’s Doctor Who offerings for May.
